In order to play on the server, you will need to download several files

Here is how to get the files you need:

Go to your C:/Program Files/Taldren/Starfleet Command II folder (substitute the relevant drive letter, if you installed in a drive other than C)

Create a folder named DOE_Converter (So it will be C: /Program Files/Taldren/Starfleet Command II/DOE_Converter)

Click on the link below to get the DOEConvert1.zip file and save it TO YOUR DESKTOP

Click on the link below to get the DOEConvert2.zip file and save it TO YOUR DESKTOP

Doubleclick on the DOECOnvert1.zip file to activate Winzip

Press the Extract button and extract the files to your C:/Program Files/Taldren/Starfleet Command II/DOE_Converter folder

Do the same with DOEConvert2.zip
Within this new folder, you will now have a ToEagle and FromEagle file

Make shortcuts to both of these, and save the shortcuts to your desktop

Doubleclicking the ToEagle shortcut will convert your game to work in Day of the Eagle

Doubleclicking the FromEagle shortcut will convert it back to where it was before you pressed the ToEagle shortcut. (NOT to stock, if you already had another mod)

Doubleclicking either at an inappropriate time will simply fail; no problems will be created.

That's all there is to it. You will be forevermore set to switch your game from one mode to the next, with a simple doubleclick of the relevant shortcut. If you get lost, just yell for help on the Taldren boards.

Like all gaming software, DOE has been subject to a patch on 3/31/03. If you have been playing on DOE, and find that you suddenly can no longer log on, you will need to download the following file. Extract its contents into your DOECOnvert folder, execute FromEagle, then Execute ToEagle:
DOEMissions.zip.
(Let it overwrite files with the same name).

DOWNLOAD THESE TWO FILES IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED ON DOE BEFORE

These are the complete files needed to play on DOE. They include the latest patch from 3/31/03.
